After four successful years as Director, Social for the RLTC Board of Directors, Vera Cody was hired as Interim Club Manager two years ago. Last year, Vera was the full time Club Manager and what a great tennis playing season it was.

Every social event was the most highly attended. Her informative weekly blogs became the talk of the club. The Opening Round Robin and Tommy & Lefebvre Fashions Show was a great way to kick off a very busy summer. The Annual Social was a highlight of the season. From the implementation of her popular Tuesday Pub nights tennis nights, which culminated in a closing event with almost 225 club members attending the match of Ottawa Senator Captain Daniel Alfredsson vs. RLTC Men's Singles Club Champion, Gordon Cudney, Vera has brought her enthusiasm, love of tennis, and charming personality to members of every age. She created a nurturing environment where the members were made to feel welcome from the moment they set foot on the property.

This year, with her great staff, who include Gaby Lambert (Assistant to the Club Manager and Senior Clubhouse Attendant); Matt Beck (Clubhouse Attendant), Harley Smallwood (Grounds) and Veronique Belanger-Lejars (who is on sabbatical until mid August when she will return to work as Vera's Assistant when Gaby Lambert returns to University), Vera is confident of a summer filled with exciting programs, fun filled social events and a continued commitment to providing first class service to all the members.
