Membership Categories and Fees The smooth functioning of the club's finances requires that membership fees are paid in full by April 1, 2009 and we encourage members to respect this date. For 2009 membership, ages apply as of May 1, 2009. Initiation fees are for first year members. Diplomatic Players to do not pay the initiation fee. Clarification of Non-Resident Membership Status: Previously admitted as a full member of the Club and thereafter absent from the Ottawa area for the period April to October inclusive in any one year or more. This membership class allows members to maintain their RLTC membership without requiring a further initiation fee upon their return. Restrictions: The non-resident member is only allowed to play on the courts six times per season. If the member plays more than six times they must pay the full annual membership cost. Social members are non-playing members of the Club but can be a guest of a member, and are required to pay the current guest fee each time they play. NOTE: As explained by the Board in a mid-January Communiqué sent to all members, a one-year levy was deemed essential to upgrade the clay courts in mid-October 2009.
