JUNIOR TENNIS INSTRUCTORS

The Rockcliffe Lawn Tennis Club (RLTC) in Ottawa requires Junior Tennis Instructors for the 2009 summer tennis session (May to September). The RLTC has eight courts - four HydroCourt clay courts and four hard courts in addition to a recently renovated Clubhouse. The popular RLTC Spring and Summer tennis camps offer tennis lessons, Round Robins and Tournaments for children from 4 to 16.

The Junior Instructors will assist with instruction during the Spring Camp during after school hours in May and June as well as with the full Summer Camp which runs from mid June until the end of August. The qualifications and duties of the Junior Tennis Instructors include the following:

Qualifications and Duties:

The Junior Tennis Instructors will preferably have or will attain by 1 June a Tennis Canada Instructor level certification and must be highly motivated, organized, reliable and punctual.
Competitive level tennis player with experience at the OTA and/or NCTA tournament level with the ability to interact and teach/coach junior level players of all skill levels in order to foster a dynamic, positive and enjoyable tennis environment.
Must be an enthusiastic and energetic individual with excellent communication and leadership skills and able to work cooperatively with the Club Manager, other Coaches, Instructors and Board Members and willing to promote tennis as an active, healthy life style, while providing a fun, helpful, encouraging environment for the junior player.
Willing to assist with junior tournaments, junior round robins and community Club events.

Salary & Compensation: Commensurate with level of qualifications and experience and competitive with local standards.
